Monday: Discuss upcoming in-class essay. Homework — Read chapters 23 and 24.
Tuesday: Hester Prynne, Pearl, Arthur Dimmesdale, and Roger Chillingworth as representations of morality. Discuss the forest scene. What happens there? What do Arthur and Hester agree to? Homework — Write two factual questions and two discussion questions. Please refer to page numbers whenever possible.
Wednesday: Final discussion. Brainstorm in small groups about the in-class essay questions. Homework — Prepare for the in-class essay.
Thursday : All Sherwood, all the time. Prepare for your in class essay.
Friday: Bring in notes and book and any other materials you want to help you prepare for the in class essay.
